Before a Resident has been admitted

In order to help you support your clients in their admission to Wildology - and to help in planning for their treatment experience - we have compiled the following information:

1.

2.

3.

4.

A treatment professional, potential resident, or family member may call our team. The the prospective resident will feel held from the start and through the admissions process.

We will conduct an initial conversation with the caller to discuss the presenting issues. The resident will be asked to identify if he or she is working with an outside treatment provider, who will be contacted for clinical information. Initial information on Wildology’s Programmes will be shared.

A pre-admissions assessment, which takes about 20-30 minutes, will take place over the phone with the resident. Our team will also gather any pertinent clinical information from the outside treatment professional at this time. If the resident is appropriate for admission, arrangements (travel, logistics, etc.) are made. Our team can assist with booking travel if necessary.

If an interventionist is involved in making the referral, the pre-admissions assessment may take place with a family member.

When a Resident has been admitted

1.

2.

A referring treatment professional will be called within 24 hours of a resident’s admission to let him or her know of the resident's safe arrival. The resident will be asked to sign a release for his or her outside treatment professional within the first 24 hours. Provided the resident appropriately signs a release for his or her outside treatment provider(s), a Wildology Case Manager will reach out weekly regarding treatment updates and continuing care planning.

Our goal is to work together with you and your client to provide the best possible experience with Wildology. We welcome your feedback and questions. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time. We look forward to working together with you.

Accessibility, communication, and continuum of care are cornerstones of Wildology’s programmes. Success is always a team effort and, appropriately, we are dedicated to a collaborative, highly communicative process with our entire referral and support network. Physicians, therapists, and families will be quickly reassured that our mission is one of inclusion and information.
